After a long hiatus from recording and sometimes even playing music, Dusty Rockers is back. To begin with, we are seriously considering at least one jam at a local county park and will be posting details as they become a little more solid.
The first baby step arrived today... new cables!!! They are short but they are a start and no more crackling cables... YEAH!

Damh the Bard
So to lift my spirits I am going to share an artist who is alive and well and makes some awesome music! His songs are written in the Old World Tradition of the Druidic Bard.
Druidic Bards were vested with the honor and responsibility of passing on the Druidic tradition in the form of story and song. Damh the Bard has taken on this tradition in the form of song.
By following this link you can get a taste for the music that Damh the Bard makes. Close your eyes, imagine the fires burning bright while Damh the Bard shares the stories of old.

Family Jam
Okay, I didn't get picture taken at the October Family Jam. There was so much good fun going on that I purely and simply forgot. Playing with the music was fun, friends and family were wonderful to see again, the food was great and everyone had a great time in spite of the rocky start.
This is what the deck looked like just outside of Owatonna, Minnesota when we arrived shortly after 1 p.m. on October 19, 2013.
Probably the last big Family Jam of the year but next year we will start doing this earlier so we can have more of them.
Until then, thank you Linda and Harold for all your work to make this happen and thank you friends and family for coming out. Last but not least lots of thanks and appreciation for the milk house heaters.

Playin' Family Jams for the fun of it!!!
Dusty Rockers are jamming at family gatherings. We have a new musician with a new instrument that is making things interesting... WE FINALLY HAVE A DRUMMER... YEAH!!!
We are still in the process of 'locking in' with Harold the Drummer and it is happening slowly but surely.
Our next and probably last jam of the season will be October 19 in the big town of Medford, Minnesota. Here is an old photo to honor those who have gone and days and nights of good music and good friends. Good times were had with Monte Gallea and Jim Beck, miss ya bunches!
While it is good to remember those who have gone before with affection, it is never good to dwell in the past. I will be doing my level best to post pictures from the upcoming jam. There are not only new friends but new family members who I am looking forward to sharing with you all.
